5 Most Gorgeous Beaches in Greece
Paradise Beach, Mykonos
Mykonos has one of the best beaches in the Aegean sea so it’s no wonder the island is such a popular destination between celebrities and regular people alike. The beaches on Mykonos are blessed with crystalline water and golden sand, while the service and organization is flawless. There are countless gorgeous beaches on this small island, but Paradise is one of its most famous one. It’s a long, sandy beach with translucent, blue water and plenty of opportunities for every taste. All you need to do is dive in the turquoise water and open your eyes while you emerge from it. Navagio Beach, Zakynthos
If you opt for a vacation on Zakynthos you have to visit Navagio beach. It will be the highlight of your vacation. As stunning as it’s secluded, the beach is a true miracle of nature. It’s only accessible by boat as it’s located right between the island’s limestone cliffs. The first thing you’ll notice once you get there is the shipwreck of an old boat called Panayiotis, right before you see the amazingly clear waters and white sand. The sheer white cliffs surrounding the beach are just the perfect setting and make you feel like you’re in paradise.
Myrtos beach, Kefalonia
Another island is home of one of the most stunning beaches in Greece, Kefalonia, and its most famous Myrtos beach. Located between Assos and Argostoli, Myrtos beach is simply breathtaking. The bright white pebbly beach and the deep blue sea form a perfect escape from reality. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, you look up into the tall cliffs and steep mountains and you realize why this beach has been voted the best beach in Greece 12 times. If you love the sun, Myrtos beach is perfect for you as there’s almost no natural shade, but you can find umbrellas and sunbeds for a fee.
Elafonisi beach, Crete

There you’ll find the exotic white and pink sand which give the water a special, azure color. The island is a protected area, attached to Crete’s mainland by a thin strip of sand. You can walk right across it and reach the island, sometimes without even wetting your toes. One truly exotic place and definitely worth a visit if you’re vacationing in Crete.
Porto Katsiki, Lefkada
This is one of the beaches that regularly makes it in the top 5 best beaches in Europe and we now know why. Once we reached the bottom of the stairwell and stepped on the beach we understood why so many tourists admire this location. The long, vast beach right under the grassy hill and the turquoise, crystal clear water make you feel like you’ve walked through the gates of paradise. Even though the beach is crowded with tourists, there’s still plenty of room for everyone. And you most definitely have to wait for the sunset, as the beach turns orange in front of your eyes and you enjoy the breathtaking views.
